Aynor was victorious again in the second meeting against region rival Dillon High School. The game started off scoreless through two innings. In the third inning Dillon scored on an overthrow from first to third.
Dillon was first on the board, but the Bluejackets were able to score five runs in the bottom of the third. Sophomore Jules Johnson had a home run, Junior Layna Johnson scored off a past ball at the plate, and Senior Felicia Tracey had a two RBI single in the inning.
Neither team scored in the fourth inning, but the Bluejackets scored three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to make it 8 to 1. Johnson hit her second home run of the game in the fifth.
Other offensive contributors on the night included Kayden Ray, Ryan Ellis, Allison Cannon, and Emily Squires. Layna Johnson pitched 7 innings for the Bluejackets for the win.
This victory puts Aynor on top of the region. The Bluejackets will travel to Loris Tuesday night for a 6:30 game.
